Locomade is a marketplace for locally manufactured Kenyan handcraft products where we connect local artisans and buyers.
How to sell on Locomade?
Step 1. Register
Register using your email and get approved (or do it via Facebook or Google). Make sure you enter a correct email address and phone number once you register, so your clients could reach you.
Add your profile picture, shop name, shop cover image and shop description, shop location to let other people in the Locomade community know who you are.
Step 2. Upload photos of your item
Feel free to take a lot of photos using your smartphone. Make sure they show your item in the best light.
Great product photography on Locomade means higher click rate on a search page and higher likelihood that a visitor will buy your product.Show off your craftsmanship with a closeup photo.
Upload clear photos that represent the style of your brand and make a strong first impression on customers.
Step 4. Add listings type to your shop
Once you’ve completed all your shop sections, you are ready to start adding products to your Locomade shop. When you add a product to your Locomade shop, we call this a listing.
Step 5. Select Category
Choose a proper category and write a clear title and full description of your item. Enter a fair price and add a video preview if you have one and submit your advert to review!.
Step 4. Answer the messages and calls from your clients
If everything is ok with your advert, it’ll be on Locomade Team in a couple of hours after sending to moderate and review your Listings. We’ll send you an email and notification when your advert goes live. Check your email and be ready to sell!
How to buy on Locomade?
1. Search for the item
Find what product you need using the search panel and filters and choose exactly what you are looking for.
2. Contact a seller
You may use chat on Locomade or call them via phone. Discuss all the details and negotiate about the price of the item.
3. Take your item or order a delivery
We check our sellers carefully, but it’s always better to check twice, right? Meet a seller in a public place and be sure to pay only after collecting your item.
4. Leave your feedback and review about the seller/ product
Feel free to tell us about your purchase. Your feedback will be published online on the seller’s page and will be very helpful for other buyers. Let’s build a safe and professional business community together!
